CSUN 2022 MFA Screenwriting graduate Sarah Chang Tadayon wins 1st PLACE in the Television Category of ScreenCraft’s 2022 “True Story & Public Domain” Competition!

The Second Sex, by Sarah Chang Tadayon, tells the story of a wide-eyed Iranian Jewish woman who experiences a sexual awakening when she moves to Nazi occupied Paris to study under a famous existentialist philosopher. This one-hour historical drama is inspired by the intimate life of Simone De Beauvoir.
Sarah shared this about the project, "I developed it in Patti Carr’s CTVA 595D Writing Episodic Television CTVA spec class, continued working on the pitch in Christina Sibul’s CTVA 482 Network Program Development class, and I wrote it in Kate Power’s CTVA 595A One-hour Original Pilot class. Without mentorship from the faculty and support from my cohort at CSUN, this pilot would never have gotten this far."
