Three of our majors participated in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 'Academy Gold Talent Development and Inclusion Initiative' last summer- Parker Caston, Shari Coleman and Dean Gaddi.
The facilitators were extremely impressed with our three students- so impressed that they provided 'Phase Two Mentorship' for Parker. THIS IS US star Sterling K. Brown was selected as his personal mentor.
While Parker was directing his senior film project 'Cuffed' this past week, Sterling spent a couple of hours on the senior set in support of Parker. The actors and senior crew were in awe.
Even though he has an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award he was extremely modest. He too was impressed with CSUN students and our program.
